FAQ’s

01Do I need a referral?

Private patients do not need a referral. A referral from a GP is only required if a third party will be making payments, such as DVA, WorkCover or Medicare EPC.

02What if I need to cancel my appointment?

If an appointment must be changed, we ask that 24 hours’ notice is given. If less than 2 hours’ notice is given, a cancellation fee of $20 may be charged. Consideration will be given for unavoidable circumstances.

03Does Medicare cover my treatment?

Medicare does not generally cover Physiotherapy, however you may be eligible for the Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) scheme, a government scheme that can attract a rebate from Medicare ($54.60 at the time of writing). Certain requirements must be met including that your condition is chronic and the submission of an EPC Action Plan by your GP. Under the EPC scheme you can have a total of 5 visits to allied health professionals (physiotherapists, podiatrists, dietitians) per calendar year. As the rebate does not cover the entire cost of your treatment, you will be responsible for part of your payment ($37.50).

04Is Parking Available?

Up to 3 hours free parking is available in the surrounding streets in Randwick, including Soudan St, Perouse Rd (1 hr), St Pauls St and Nancye Lane. Paid parking is also available at Ritz Cinema on St Pauls St. Bus Routes 314, 316, 317, 372, 373, 376, 377 and M50 also stop just outside, servicing Bondi Junction, Bronte, Clovelly, Maroubra, Eastgardens, Coogee, South Coogee, Kinsgsford and Kensington. 05What should I wear?

Wear loose comfortable clothing that will allow access to the area and surrounding tissues where possible. (Ladies, no action-back sports bra’s for neck/shoulder/back treatments please).
For Pilates, please wear clothes appropriate for exercise and don’t forget your socks.

06What should I bring?

Please bring along any referrals, Third Party details and claim numbers and any relevant x-rays or other scans.

07Do you offer Pilates classes?

Aspire Physiotherapy offers Clinical Exercise classes, which are classes run by a physiotherapist incorporating Pilates exercises and equipment, but may also include other exercises as relevant for the individual participant. We offer both One-on-one and Group (maximum 4 participants) classes. We encourage participants to undergo a series of one-on-one sessions prior to joining our group classes. For this reason we provide the Introduction to Clinical Exercise Course at a very reduced rate, which includes 6 one-on-one Clinical Exercise classes with a Physiotherapist. Classes can also be purchased individually. Depending on your level of cover you may be eligible for a Health Fund Rebate.
